The Parish Hall
The hall was originally built as The Mens Club around 1929.  Made of asbestos, it has sadly come to the end of it's useful life.  Fund-raising starting in July 1999 and just over £93,000.00 has been raised to date. Our first application for Lottery funding was unsuccessful, which was very disappointing.  It is now hoped to get planning permission and re-apply to the BIG Lottery Fund as soon as possible.  Planning permission may help us to secure grant funding from various other sources.  Sadly as it's condition gets worse it is hired less.  It is still used for YFC meetings and monthly Bingo, Food Fayres, Fetes and flower shows and various other events.
In December there is an annual Quiz evening.
The fund-raising continues.  See Coming Events

parish hall car park 26th March 2011

These Daffodils were planted by Chairman and committee members, shortly after the car park was made. They are all around the edges and are a beautiful site again this year. The WI also planted bulbs in the hedge at Pages Cross around the years 2000, they are also looking fantastic.

MONTHLY BINGO
My Father started the monthly Bingos, with Chris Pike in 1987
to raise money to help with the running costs of the hall.  The 200 Club was also his idea as he had been running a successful one for Holcombe Rogus Beagles.  Both  are still going strong, for the bingo dates for 2012 click on
